Born in 1941 inParis, college in Paris then enter the Ecole
Nationale Superieure des Arts Decoratifs.
Worked with Alfred Dunhill, Braun, then joined Silver Match
a gas lighter company who had a licence to produce the
Cartier Lighter.
Was part of the team who re- launch the Cartier Brand in the
seventies as marketing manager then CEO of Cartier Asia,
General manager of Cartier France, CEO of Piaget and CEO of
Richemont Asia Pacific.
Francis Gouten retired in July 2006 and created two
companies, Gouten Consulting Ltd specialized in luxury
business and using 35 years of Luxury experience as well as
more than 25 years of knowledge of Asia. And a second
company Esprit de Luxe specialized in luxury retail training
in order to help luxury brands to upgrade their staff at the
level expected by their clients.
