Denis Morisset, born in France in 1956, obtained his MBA
from ESSEC university in Paris in 1979. He started then his
career in Finance and worked for six years in Auditing and
Finance for US multinational Company ��Du Pont de Nemours��
in France and in the United States.
Between 1985 and 2004, he has been working then for more
than 20 years in the Fashion and Luxury Industry and
occupied Operational and General Management positions in
Fashion and Luxury Groups such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Pierre
Balmain and Giorgio Armani.
He was in particular the CEO of Giorgio Armani France form
2001 to 2004.
He was also for six years between 1993 and 1999, the CEO of
a large French Group, Sac & Thierry, involved in the
Design, manufacturing and Distribution of men�� and women��s
shoes. During this period, he developed international ��in
house�� brands and ��licensed�� women��s shoes brands in the
semi-luxury market segment.
He also worked for the Children wear Industry at CWF, a
company specialized in the Licensing ( Production and
Distribution)of luxury children��s brands such as Elle,
DKNY, Burberry, Timberland, Nike etc.
In May 2004, he became an independent consultant for
the Fashion and Luxury Industry , creating his own
consulting company "Studeo" Luxury Consulting .
Since November 2004, he is also devoting a large part of
his activity to ESSEC business school as Executive Director
of ESSEC MBA in ��International Luxury Brand Management��.
He also became a permanent marketing professional Faculty
in ESSEC full time MBA programs as well as ESSEC Executive
Management programs.
He is also teaching in the IHMI program at ESSEC (MBA in
Hospitality)

"Profitability levels and critical mass in the Luxury

With a particular focus on emerging markets.
In the last two years, Denis Morisset has been particularly
active in the Asian market in the areas of ��brand
management�� and ��Luxury brands Distribution strategies��
consulting and educational activities.
He has been teaching at FudanUniversity in Shanghai,
delivered conferences in ESSEC Singapore campus, and has
also participated in the design and organisation of several
Luxury Summits or conferences in China.
