Ann Chen is a partner in Bain & Company, the global
strategy consulting
firm, and head of the firm's Greater China Consumer Products
and Retail
Practices.
Ms. Chen is widely recognized as an expert on the Chinese
retail market.
She has more than 15 years of experience in developing
successful China
market strategies for luxury goods makers, and her clients
include some of
the biggest names in the industry.
She has worked with a number of major fashion houses on
sourcing
strategy, and recently helped one of the world's largest
makers of luxury
accessories dramatically expand its market in China.
Ms. Chen's writing has appeared in Harvard Business Review,
The Wall
Street Journal Asia and Business Times Singapore, and she's
been quoted in
The Wall Street Journal, Financial Times, South China
Morning Post and
MarketWatch.com.
Originally from the U.S, Ms. Chen is married with a four
year old son. She
is a graduate of Princeton University, with an engineering
degree in
computer science, and holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business
School.
